About N° 46 The Salcombe

Nº 46 is a conveniently situated, impressive penthouse apartment in the imposing residential building known as The Salcombe, formerly The Salcombe Hotel. With quite possibly some of the best sea views in Salcombe, and only moments from the main street in town, you get the best of both worlds here.

The Space

Like many of the sea facing apartments in The Salcombe, the light here is transcendent, and this is heightened by the creamy paint tones and furniture, the soft furnishings and the lighting. With a studio style layout the room is intersected by a breakfast bar, with a very well-appointed kitchen immediately to the right as you enter the property that makes superb use of the angled space. You’ll find an induction hob with extraction hood, a wall mounted oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, and toaster.

Beautifully decorated, there are nautical themes throughout the rooms to give off immediate holiday vibes. The views out to sea here really are to die for, and on a sunny day it would be virtually impossible to keep a beaming smile from your face, it’s that enchanting. With a stunning, timber-lined, vaulted ceiling and heavy luxury drapes this room is highly adaptable for the conditions outside. You can either fling the sliding windows wide and look out over the balcony inhaling that fresh sea air, or you can pull those curtains tightly across and hide yourself in the cosy embrace of the room.

There’s a super sea-facing double bedroom decorated in a gloriously bright and breezy style, as echoed elsewhere in the apartment, with an ensuite bathroom with a shower, double ‘his and her’ wash basins, loo, and heated towel rail. The street facing double bedroom shares a family bathroom with a bath and an over-bath shower with a great twin bedroom that’s perfect for kids, with plenty of room and a wall mounted TV too.

Guest Access

There is free on-site parking for one car per apartment, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor communal swimming pool and gardens, and a private entrance. This apartment does have a lift service but there are a couple of steps up to the apartment in the communal corridor.

There is also one mooring per apartment on a private pontoon for a dinghy, with overall length (including out-board) of 5m (by prior request only). You can also find a restaurant/wine bar within the building.

Location

Salcombe is a charming little town on the bank of what is often described as the prettiest harbour in England.

Picture-perfect pastel-coloured houses make up a Positano-like scene overlooking water, sandy beaches and rolling green hills of the surrounding countryside.

Salcombe has a uniquely wonderful array of shops ranging from an acclaimed butcher and baker to art galleries selling serious contemporary works and chic boutiques.

Getting Around

Stepping out from N ° 46 you are right in the heart of Salcombe, only a few minutes walk from all of the lovely shops restaurants and four great pubs.
The Harbour Hotel is three minutes by foot and has a gorgeous bar and restaurant as well as an award-winning spa with a pool.

Catch the gorgeous little ferry to be on the sandy beaches of East Portlemouth in minutes or stroll almost an exact mile along the coastal path to North Sands and the famous Winking Prawn.
