About N° 26 The Salcombe

Nº 26 is another of the charming apartments we host within The Salcombe, the complex formerly The Salcombe Hotel.

This one-bedroomed, studio-styled property – recently decorated in Susie Watson’s Swedish Grey - is situated in a prime position overlooking the superb views of Salcombe Harbour. With comfortable homely qualities to its décor and tastefully chosen soft furnishings using gorgeous, patterned fabrics, it is a wonderful place to holiday and fully unwind in its warm embrace.

The Space

With classy Pooky lighting, Sanderson light shades and matching bespoke cushions, Bobbin bedside lamps from Rose & Grey, Patton House lampshades, enchanting scalloped bedside tables, Alice Straker prints for the walls, Perch and Parrow mirrors, Susie Watson cushions for the sitting room and Maison Flaneur quilts for the bedroom you can’t fail to appreciate the detail and level of care that has gone into the recent uplift to the property. Dotted around there are echoes of some nautical themes too - after all, you are beside the seaside.

You can relax at any time of the day or night by taking a seat in the sitting room, with one of the best views in town. Look out across the water, whatever the weather, and enjoy the daily comings and goings of a busy working harbour town.

“After all, the best part of a holiday is perhaps not so much to be resting yourself, as to see all the other fellows busy working.” (Mole from The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame)

Nº26 has a lovely simplicity to it. From its layout to its soft furnishings, comfort and style is at its heart. You can even luxuriate in your bed and look out to the water.

A second-floor apartment with one double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen – with electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, plus a lovely, white-tiled en suite bathroom with shower, loo, wide basin and heated towel rail. There is plenty of room to lounge and relax in the open-plan living space (with Freeview TV and a DVD player) and you can enjoy the airy and light sitting room with French windows opening out onto a balcony overlooking the communal gardens and looking beyond to the sea.

There is free on-site parking for one car per apartment, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor swimming pool, and a private entrance. This apartment does not have a lift service.

Excellent bijou flat with great views and ideally located to explore Salcombe.

My wife and I have rented this small apartment for the last twenty years for Town Regatta week, while the rest of the large family use a larger cheaper apartment. 26 is in an ideal position and has a view that keeps you entertained whatever the weather.
